Greetings from The Wizard

Hi everyone, just thought I'd give an Official introduction. I've been a member of Runboard since 2006 and have many boards which I own.

Computer Solutions - A board where you can pick up some tips on how to keep your computer clean and trouble free, useful programs (majority of them are FREE), Workshops on how to use Microsoft products and other software, tutorials and step-by-step walkthroughs using simple screenshots and non-jargon to help the beginner.

Also there are Runboard hints and tips for the beginner, again with screenshots etc, and much more.

My second board is Global Warriors, it's a board where you can grab some useful information about recycling and reducing your carbon footprint. There are sections for people who live in different countries where you can find out where your local recycling center is and much more.

My third site which I've just created is Wizard's World of Web Graphics. It's a board mainly for people who want backgrounds, wallpapers, smilies, emoticons, borders, shapes, patterns.

I'm also a Runboard Team Member and help with the Runboard Directory as a Moderator and I enjoy working with the staff very much.

I help other Runboard members setup their new boards or help with a makeover if they require a new look. I am Admin on 8 boards, some are test boards they've made so I can change a theme without disturbing they're main board.

Away from Runboard I work as a Porter (or Orderly as you call them in the States) at my local hospital and enjoy the work there very much. When I'm not there I like to help out the people who run the Homeless Shelter in my spare time.

Hobbies / Interests
I am an Aikido Instructor and currently hold a 3rd Dan Black Belt, been teaching now for nearly 6yrs but altogether have been practicing for 25yrs.

I love a good book, favourite authors are....

Eric van Lustbader
Chris Ryan
Andy McNab
Terry Pratchett

I like to study the writings and books of Friedrich Nietzsche too, facinating man he was.

I think I've covered most, but if I missed anything or you maybe wish to know a little more I'd be glad to add it here.

Hi Wiz,

welcome to the board! I'm so glad you wrote an introduction, and what an introduction it is!

I didn't realize that you worked as Porter nor that you are helping out at the Homeless Shelter. That's wonderful work, but I'm sure it's not easy work, either. And now I know who to ask if I need a spiffy fighting scene in a story and trying to make it realistic. emoticon emoticon

I can recommend all of Wiz's boards, they are vastly helpful. emoticon

Glad you joined, and I hope you have lots of fun.

Welcome! emoticon I'm sure Firle's warned you about keeping fireballs to a minimum, what with all the trouble we had with Rey's dragons...

I was counting on your good behaviour, Wiz.

However, I wouldn't mind cleaning spells at all. emoticon

They're FRIENDLY dragons! They don't burninate anything on PURPOSE! I mean, is it their fault that they -- like every other animal! -- have to sneeze sometimes. Okay, so once there was that village that got caught in a dragon's hayfever problem, but that was an incidental accident, I'm telling you! As long as you give your dragons strict boundaries about flammable objects ("SIR FRANCIS, GET AWAY FROM MY BOOKSHELVES!"), everything works out just fine!

Oh sure they're friendly. They shredded my best pants trying to climb into my lap and set Firle's hair on fire. I second the motion the Wizard puts a spell on them.

*cries* It's not their fault! They're just doing what dragons are meant to do. You should really wear sturdier pants if you're going to be around little dragons.

Besides, if you read the story I'll be putting up for the Wizards' contest, you'll see what happens when you try casting a spell on a dragon!
