Hi


I'm writing a fantasy novel and have lots of ideas for more.
I wandered in from Scribe's. emoticon This looks like another fun site. Where am I going to find the time to actully write?

That's very cool. It takes dedication to get that far, and after all that work, you can hardly quit.

My secret: I don't edit the first draft. I tried doing that once and threw out a hundred pages. emoticon

Actually, that's a good idea. It gives you the chance to write everything down, before you go back and edit it. That way, you'll have a complete story to edit and not just bits and pieces.

My suggestion for an edit: Even if you take out entire scenes (I've done that), keep a copy of the old version around, and / or shift those scenes into a "scrap file".

That's why I'm doing it. emoticon This way it's down and I can change it as much as I want (or it needs emoticon) later.
