Re: The Castle Picture
I'm pretty sure it was the mages who set the tower aflame! "Whoops! That backfired! Sorry, guys. Call the firemen again?"

And if any one ever wants to try and make an even better version, go for it I say.
Some people have been commenting on mages for instance, so I suppose one could try something with that as well...

I really should have put some shadows on the rooftops.....
Mages or an army marching to the gates would be fun

Re: The Castle Picture
I kind of like the idea of an army. That big ramp in the foreground would give ample room for one.

Re: The Castle Picture
I don't know how to do this... so I need help... here is a pic of the castle...
What I need is the same thing Firle has as her banner but 250px high by 920px wide. I know the board name can be bigger and I cut just a little bit off the bottom of the original pic so instead of being 567px wide it is now 628px wide but so far that is the best I could do...

Re: The Castle Picture
I think I am getting close as far as the original banner pic is concerned but I really have no idea how to get the spaceships in the pic... Here is what I have so far:
edit to change the pic to my latest attempt...

Well, Loud G added the spaceships. We may have to wait for him.

Re: The Castle Picture
The spaceships weren't hard, I used both of the ones provided earlier in this thread.
I use photoshop on a regular basis. It is just a matter of adding each on in as a separate layer. rotating/tilting/warping as desired to fit the scene. Adjusting the color balace to fit the scene.
The Fire I got from photographs of real fire, cropped, adjusted the transparency, warped to fit the tower, then use the "burn" tool to add smoke.
The flight paths are just two gradated blue arcs to which I added transparency.
The energy beam is a single bright green line with a white highlight for depth.
However, depending on the image size, dimensions, etc. you may be able to copy and paste from the old image into a new image.
Let me know if you want any help

Re: The Castle Picture
Hi Loud G,
You make it sound easy but it is beyond the things I normally do.
Here is the image of the new banner thus far:
If you click to view the image in a separate tab you will notice it is bigger than what is showing here. Can you put the spaceships on the new banner please?

Re: The Castle Picture
I'll try and get it done as quickly as I can. Is there a design (or other) reason why the image is shorter than it once was?
If so, I won't add any extra height.

It will cover more width, and Rick cropped the wall a bit.

Re: The Castle Picture
Hi Vixon, welcome to the board.
Credit for the looks go mostly to Pastor Rick, who did wonderful work on many layout details. I chose the colors, and the castle pic.
Your own board looks very nice, especially with the books on top. All the best for it.
