The Amazon-owned Audible recently rolled out a new feature called Audible Captions. But, it has a lot of self-publishers and traditional publishing companies up in arms. In fact, the Association of American Publishers filed suit against Audible due to this recent roll-out.

They took something useful - providing hearing-impaired people with support - and turned it into something not okay. I agree that we authors should fight that.
This whole revolution in publishing isn't finished. We're definitely moving into the territory of licensing rights as authors (similar to musicians, really), and many writers haven't understood that yet.
So we need to be careful when we license one thing and the license-taker grabs more than we intended to give.
