Here be Dragons - short story collection by Firle

My Amazon ad for HBD is outperforming all the others, with one keyword: Magic.

However, it's not generating clicks, let alone sales. emoticon

Amazon ad text is limited to 150 chars, and no formatting.

This is what I have right now:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Eight Tales of Magic, Fantasy and Adventure. Eight Heroes. Eight Worlds. Enter them now.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I'm about to set up a new ad and I'm going to use this text:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Unicorns. Centaurs. Dragons and Dwarves. Princesses and Princes. Magic of all kinds. Eight tales of Classic Fantasy. Get them now.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It's in review now. Wish me luck.

Maybe the blurb needs work.

(The backmatter definitely does, and I am quite blocked about that. Argh.)

This is what I have right now:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Eight stories of classic fantasy. Eight adventures full of cunning and magic. Eight lovable heroes. Old and grumpy, young and eager, wary or daring, they come in all shapes – some are not even human. Eight worlds that will send your imagination soaring on fancy wings. Eight tales that will warm your heart. Eight stories that will leave a smile on your face.
What are you waiting for?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Unfortunately, this needs work. Definitely work with spacing (gah!!), but also with copy writing.

Here's my new version. I'm alluding to the different stories in there.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Grab a great bunch of eight tales of classic fantasy.
Meet a grumpy mage or two.
Encounter a dwarf with a bazooka.
Follow the centaur bard who won't go quietly into the night.
Recover a stolen set of magic cards.
Help a young mage battle a nasty enchantment.
Find the shortest fantasy tale you'll ever read.
And discover dragons in hiding.
Eight adventures full of cunning and magic. Eight tales that will warm your heart.
What are you waiting for?
Grab them now!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

That does list the contents but (sorry) it looks like a shopping list...

Meet a grumpy mage or two, or learn a thing or two about a dwarf with a bazooka. Follow the centaur bard who won't go quietly into the night, or is recovering a stolen set of magic cards more your style. Stop by a young mage and help him battle a nasty enchantment! Find the shortest fantasy tale you'll ever read, and also: discover dragons in hiding!

How does that 'feel'?

Part of the rules of copywriting is to break things up.

Have onliners.

Keep people reading.

But I see what you mean. I think I need to vary things a little more. At least it's a start.
