It made me too think of Captain America (there are obvious similarities like the historical setting), in good and bad. Both are very good the first time, but I don't find them interesting to watch again. Part of it is that I'm generally not fond of origin stories - in fact I really hate how almost every superhero film has to be the origin story of the hero himself or the villain. OK, for more obscure characters it's necessary, but how many people go to theater without knowing how Batman, Superman or Spider-Man started? That's one good thing about Dark Knight, no history for Joker and no dwelling on Batman; there's Dent, but he's only third character in side of the two and Two-Face origin story is big part of the whole main storyline and its climaxes, not waste of first half of movie like most origin stories. Then again, in WW that's not a major fault. Especially to me as I'm not that familiar with the character (always been a Marvel guy myself). Maybe worst detail IMO was the casting of the villain. I get they were going for a "last person you'd expect", but it just doesn't work, the result is comical. Many superhero films get better - or in case of bad ones, more tolerable - the more times you see them, but I'm pretty sure I'll never again enjoy WW as I did on first time.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Kaunisto)Mon, 19 Oct 2020 17:50:48 +0000 Re: Wonder Womanhttps://bmysticaladventures.runboard.com/p238106,from=rss#post238106https://bmysticaladventures.runboard.com/p238106,from=rss#post238106I really want to watch it, and that happens very, very rarely. I might try to find a screening in the original...nondisclosed_email@example.com (Firlefanz)Wed, 14 Jun 2017 08:11:59 +0000 Wonder Womanhttps://bmysticaladventures.runboard.com/p238101,from=rss#post238101https://bmysticaladventures.runboard.com/p238101,from=rss#post238101This movie is the best "superhero debut" I have seen since Captain America came out back in 2011. Anyone with love for superheroes has got to see it! It is worth the admission price even if the only showing available is in 3D. The movie does something I have seldom seen by showing the warriors of Paradise Island as a force you don't want to reckon with in anything even coming close to an "even match."nondisclosed_email@example.com (Pastor Rick)Tue, 13 Jun 2017 14:25:54 +0000
