Wow, David that's brilliant!
You'll have to give us details of when it's out and what it's called.

Re: Comic story accepted
Thank you. It's only one page in a 52-page comic. I pitched a two-page story but the editor asked me to cut it to one because he had more submissions than he was expecting.
Before I even wrote the script, the artist I had been paired with sent me a rough page based on the one-paragraph pitch I had submitted. Incredibly, he had drawn exactly what I had visualised, without getting any guidance from me. Really, the most exciting thing about this was first seeing that page of art from a guy whose thoughts are obviously on the same wavelength as mine!
Anyway, all I had to do was write captions to fit in his panels, and they are now being added to the page by a professional letterer.
It doesn't really feel like I contributed much at all (except for the original idea, obviously). I wrote a one-paragraph pitch and then about 70 words of dialogue, that's all. Matt (the artist) will deserve all the credit if people like it. And he's a great artist -- he's only just finished university but he has a lot of talent and commitment and I hope he goes far.

Hey don't sell yourself short! He wouldn't have been able to draw it if you hadn't wrote it. Congrats!

Re: Comic story accepted
That's wonderful news, David!
I'm so happy you found an artist who can draw what you see in your mind. That's even better than getting a one-page comic published.
