Only admins and mods can delete, but that's okay.    nondisclosed_email@example.com (Firlefanz)Mon, 10 May 2010 15:11:13 +0000 Re: In the spirit of insanityhttps://bmysticaladventures.runboard.com/p229957,from=rss#post229957https://bmysticaladventures.runboard.com/p229957,from=rss#post229957No, in this case, it was that I clicked, then swapped to look at my email, since the website was hanging. I looked back in a minute and it still hadn't gone through. So I figured that maybe I somehow hadn't clicked "send" afterall, and clicked it again. At which point, it immediately went through... twice. *sigh* I wish you could delete your own posts! I tried to, but it wouldn't let me. Ah well. Sorry about that, guys!nondisclosed_email@example.com (Reythia)Mon, 10 May 2010 14:39:05 +0000 Re: In the spirit of insanityhttps://bmysticaladventures.runboard.com/p229952,from=rss#post229952https://bmysticaladventures.runboard.com/p229952,from=rss#post229952You mean it is possible to double click on submit and get two posts? I guess I've been lucky... very occasionally my mouse can incorrectly give off two click signals. I suppose that might have happened to Reythia as well? nondisclosed_email@example.com (QS2)Mon, 10 May 2010 01:38:52 +0000 Re: In the spirit of insanityhttps://bmysticaladventures.runboard.com/p229944,from=rss#post229944https://bmysticaladventures.runboard.com/p229944,from=rss#post229944*cleans up the double post* Reyhia, make sure you only do a single click on "submit". nondisclosed_email@example.com (Firlefanz)Sat, 08 May 2010 14:49:20 +0000 Re: In the spirit of insanityhttps://bmysticaladventures.runboard.com/p229937,from=rss#post229937https://bmysticaladventures.runboard.com/p229937,from=rss#post229937Rats! I think they did a couple new ones, but mostly reprints. Maybe they think no one will play them with like computer games and stuff.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Blitzen)Fri, 07 May 2010 19:05:09 +0000 Re: In the spirit of insanityhttps://bmysticaladventures.runboard.com/p229930,from=rss#post229930https://bmysticaladventures.runboard.com/p229930,from=rss#post229930But have they printed any NEW ones? I admit, I haven't exactly been looking, since I sort of grew out of the genre a few years/decades back. But I haven't seen any, and my two friends I mentioned above HAVE looked and couldn't find any new ones. Sad to see a whole genre vanish, especially when I don't understand why!nondisclosed_email@example.com (Reythia)Fri, 07 May 2010 14:10:30 +0000 Re: In the spirit of insanityhttps://bmysticaladventures.runboard.com/p229927,from=rss#post229927https://bmysticaladventures.runboard.com/p229927,from=rss#post229927They re-released all the Fighting Fantasy books with new covers about 2 years ago in the UK.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Blitzen)Fri, 07 May 2010 01:23:29 +0000 Re: In the spirit of insanityhttps://bmysticaladventures.runboard.com/p229921,from=rss#post229921https://bmysticaladventures.runboard.com/p229921,from=rss#post229921Me too! I wonder why they stopped printing them. It seems like they went out of style, but did kids really stop loving them? I find that tough to believe.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Reythia)Wed, 05 May 2010 20:09:34 +0000 Re: In the spirit of insanityhttps://bmysticaladventures.runboard.com/p229920,from=rss#post229920https://bmysticaladventures.runboard.com/p229920,from=rss#post229920Yeah, that's cool, share with anyone you want. I understand being a fan... I loved these books when I was wee.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Blitzen)Wed, 05 May 2010 17:19:00 +0000 Re: In the spirit of insanityhttps://bmysticaladventures.runboard.com/p229918,from=rss#post229918https://bmysticaladventures.runboard.com/p229918,from=rss#post229918Very cool, Blitzen! Would you mind if I share this with two of my friends, who are big choose your own adventure fans? One's a writer, so he'll understand that it's a draft version, and the other's his sister who's read enough of his beta versions to understand also. Also, while I didn't follow every path to its (current) end, what I read through was very enjoyable! I like the idea of using a blog as the infrastructure for this sort of story. Well done!nondisclosed_email@example.com (Reythia)Wed, 05 May 2010 14:53:05 +0000 Re: In the spirit of insanityhttps://bmysticaladventures.runboard.com/p229915,from=rss#post229915https://bmysticaladventures.runboard.com/p229915,from=rss#post229915Yeah, but I'm learning more about plot doing this than anything else I've ever done.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Blitzen)Tue, 04 May 2010 19:22:57 +0000 Re: In the spirit of insanityhttps://bmysticaladventures.runboard.com/p229911,from=rss#post229911https://bmysticaladventures.runboard.com/p229911,from=rss#post229911Sounds like it could be a lot of work to finish all the branches, assuming you make a lot of them.nondisclosed_email@example.com (QS2)Mon, 03 May 2010 08:38:03 +0000 In the spirit of insanityhttps://bmysticaladventures.runboard.com/p229894,from=rss#post229894https://bmysticaladventures.runboard.com/p229894,from=rss#post229894I have a new WIP. It's set in London, in 1888. In the Drury Lane area of the St Giles Rookery. I have 4 cliched characters; world weary hooker, tired cop, doubting priest, mad doctor's daughter. They are facing a nigh-unstoppable werewolf. In the spirit of insanity I am not only posting it live online on a blogger account without editing it. I also have not plotted it at all - I have no idea how the werewolf will be stopped. But the craziest thing of all is that I'm using the hyperlinks to link between each blogger post to create a choose-your-own-adventure style story. So as you read it, you will have to make decisions about what the characters do... do they hide, do they fight. Ultimately, live or die, win or fail, the result rests in the readers hands. Blogger will give you an adult content warning before you can read the blog. It has a little sex, a lot of violence. No swearing (they're Victorians; they do say bloody, but that's all). Comments on the blog are disabled, so if you read it and want to tell me I'm an idiot (or a genius, I don't object to either) then feel free to comment here.
