Great ISS shot from Earth
So I found this link to a pretty neat shot of the ISS, which was shot from Earth's surface. The speculation is that the portions lighting up blue might be from the Earth itself as its light reflects on it.

That's an amazing picture, even if it was taken through a small telescope. It shows clearly how the air movement serves to make a picture wavery.

Yep. The astronomical term for the wavery-ness is "seeing". I always find that really entertaining, since it means that seeing is keeping us from seeing things in space clearly!!
