Trying will be proud of me when arriving at the May posting.

I worked in a dialogue between characters on a section which was all description until now.

The addition adds action to the scene instead of reading like a journal entry. emoticon

Tedious thing. I edited 2,500 words on my "First Transit" novel today. I discovered a scene break I missed on my first pass. Mona is throwing a surprise party for her husband of less than a week.

Well done!

I need to start editing "Dragon Prey". Right now, however, I'm just glad when I get everything done on my list.

Eye opener! I went over another 1240 words in my "First Transit" novel before going to work this morning. Maria is very close to a mental breakdown. Benjamin has been oblivious to the signs until now. Her frustrated diatribe has opened his eyes to the trouble, but he is blaming himself for not seeing the strain she was under sooner than now.

I went through another 1,345 words in my editing today. Walter is being ambushed (in a nice way) by two women on the Captain's request, and they are having fun with the unexpected duty assignment. emoticon

Sounds like a fun scene!

I've been thinking about editing Dragon Prey. During the story, I got to know quite a few members of those Tribes, and I need to give them more screentime in the beginning. So the story will grow a little more...

I finished first round edits on the "May 2017 Posting" of "First Transit" today. The edits and corrections resulted in my novel gaining 205 words.

I've been reworking an eArticle. I reworked about a page and a half.

I did my first editing pass on "Dragon Prey". It flows surprisingly well.

Argh, moment!

Today I discovered I had a 718-word duplication in my "Beyond the Window" story. So my word count for the story is 5,778 words and not the 6,496 words I thought I had.

So do I call this a "negative writing day" since I lost words in a story?

Ooops! emoticon emoticon

Well, you could, but only if it makes you chuckle. emoticon

I wrote two sentences for my nephew's story, after much basic character planning. I also told him the story of my new dragon book - he's still learning English and won't be able to read it any time soon.
